A 13-year-old boy died from a gunshot wound to the chest Monday night, according to Chattanooga police.
The boy’s mother found him wounded downstairs at their residence at 1501 E 50th St. at about 11:33 p.m. He died on the way to the hospital and was pronounced dead.
Police believe the suspect escaped on foot, according to our news partners at WRCB.
