Chattanooga woman charged with prostitution within 1.5 miles of school

A Chattanooga woman was charged Monday with prostitution within 1.5 miles of a school after agreeing to perform sex acts for $275.

Megan “Alana” Peppers, 19, was contacted in June by an undercover officer responding to Peppers’ ad on Backpage, an online classified service.

When she arrived at 403 Hedgewood Drive in Red Bank where the acts were to be completed, she was placed under arrest without incident, according to an affidavit.

She is scheduled to appear Aug. 4 in Hamilton County General Sessions Court.
