Police release report on post-prom attack in Gilmer County

A teen who attended a post-prom party in North Georgia the night of May 10 told investigators that she was raped by "multiple" guys and passed out in a bathroom.

An incident report released today by the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office is the first police document to shed light on what happened at the party, which has been a hot social media topic ever since.

After attending prom the evening of May 10, students from Calhoun High School stayed at a home in the Coosawattee River Resort near Ellijay.

According to the report, the incident occurred there at 20 Edgewater Drive at around 2 a.m. May 11.

When speaking with investigators later that day at a Calhoun hospital, the teen did not say definitively who attacked her.
