It’s time to share your favorite poem

Ray Zimmerman will return as master of ceremonies for My Favorite Poem, a fifth Tuesday poetry share at Star Line Books, 1467 Market St. Anyone can participate. Just bring a copy of a favorite poem and be prepared to read or recite it (no more than four minutes). It could be a poem of liberation by Langston Hughes, a haiku by Matsuo Basho or "The Lake Isle of Innisfree" by W.B Yates, says Zimmerman. My Favorite Poem is not affiliated with the Favorite Poem Foundation or the national Favorite Poem program launched by Robert Pinsky, though it does take its inspiration from that program. Readings will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29. For more information, email znaturalist@gmail.com.
