Adam Lewis, spokesman for the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, has resigned, one day after a report was filed alleging criminal misconduct.

No information on the allegations has been released. But in a statement, the sheriff’s office said District Attorney Steve Crump was notified after the complaint was filed Monday and he has asked the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to look into the case.

Lewis was placed on administrative leave pending the investigation but he resigned Wednesday.
