The Harrison Ruritan Club is holding its 12th annual car, truck and motorcycle show Sunday, May 29, at Tennessee Riverpark.

“We encourage the community to attend and help us raise funds because all of the money goes back to the communities,” said Don Ramey, car show chairman. “Our goal here at the Ruritan Club is to make our communities a better place to live and work through fellowship, goodwill and community service.”

Community service projects benefiting from the nonprofit’s car show include college scholarships, student citizenship awards and the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department.

Registration for the event begins at 8 a.m. and judging begins at noon. Trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m.

A church service at 11 a.m. will start the day’s festivities, which include live music throughout the day.

For participants registering their vehicle prior to the show, there is a $20 fee. Registration the day of costs $25. The first 150 people registered will receive dash plates to commemorate the show, Ramey said.

There is no entry free for spectators, though food and drink will be available for purchase.

The Riverpark is at 4301 Amnicola Highway. For more information, visit harrisonruritanclub.webs.com/2016carshow.htm, or contact Ramey at 344-7575.
