Here’s what’s happening this week in the Chattanooga area.
Send us your festivals
The heat may not loosen its grip for several more weeks, but summer will soon start fading into fall, bringing cooler temps, colorful hardwoods and an array of festivals to celebrate the change of season. For ideas on how to spend your time between September and December, the Times Free Press will publish its annual Fall Festival Guide on Labor Day weekend, listing as many arts and harvest festivals, Oktoberfest celebrations and Christmas markets as we can find in Chattanooga and beyond. If you’re planning an event that should be included, email life@timesfreepress.com or add your event to the online calendar at timesfreepress.com/cnevents. Emailed submissions must be received by Monday, Aug. 26, for inclusion on this page on Sunday, Sept. 1. If you miss the deadline for the printed guide, send your information anyway to be included in continuing coverage during the season.
