Join Santa and crawl for a cause this weekend

As in past years, the Santa Claus Pub Crawl is a chance to wear your best holiday costume, help needy kids and have a good time. This year, you might also win an autographed guitar from local Internet singing sensation Kane Brown.

The main purpose of the event is to gather new, unwrapped toys, coats or shoes for The Salvation Army Angel Tree. The donated items serve as your “ticket” for entry. Your festive costume also lets the businesses know you are part of the crawl, which will be held Saturday, Dec. 12.

There are six stops along this year’s crawl and different start times. You can visit in any order you’d like. You do not have to hit every location nor stick to the timeline.

Participating bars and restaurants are:

‘ Stop 1: Big River, 222 Broad St. Starting at 4 p.m., select discounted appetizers, plus $1 off beer, $2 off wine and $5 specialty cocktails.
