* The next regular meeting of the Signal Mountain Town Council is scheduled for Jan. 11 at 6:30 p.m. The agenda will be posted on the town’s website prior to the meeting. Citizens are encouraged to attend.
* Town offices, including the Transfer Station and Recycle Center, will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25. Check the town’s website for the holiday garbage pick-up schedule.
* Each year, the holiday spirit seems to arrive in Signal Mountain just as the Christmas Train pulls into James Park. Please help take care of this treasure by using caution during your photo sessions. This is truly a piece of art and not designed for climbing and playing. Please help insure the Christmas Train is a part of our community’s holidays for years to come.
* The Police Department would like to remind our citizens of an unfortunate reality of the holiday season. Residential and vehicle burglaries often increase during this time of year. Please lock your homes and cars, secure your valuables out of sight when possible and do not hesitate to notify the department of any unusual activity in your neighborhood.
