Improv Chattanooga is celebrating its first birthday on Saturday night, June 30, and the improvisers are ready to party with a comedy showdown.
It’s going to be a battle of quick wit vs. musical genius when the improvisers riff on the music of Nick Lutsko.
“The format is that Nick will come up and do an acoustic song, then the improv troupe will get up and perform based on that song,” says Steve Disbrow of Improv Chattanooga. This will go on for several back-and-forth rounds. Hence the title: Improv vs. Nick Lutsko.
And what’s a birthday party without cake? Disbrow says there will be cake for guests, and concessions will be sold.
Showtime is 10 p.m. in First Draft Theater, 1800 Rossville Ave. The show is for ages 18 and older.
Tickets are $10 general admission in advance, $15 at the door, $5 students. For tickets: firstdrafttheater.ticketleap.com.
