Alexander Morgan knew in July where he wanted to play college football. The Villa Rica (Ga.) High School wide receiver was intent on playing for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has not wavered.
“I just loved the atmosphere of the town and everything,” Morgan said Monday. “It was a great spot and a great place for me to play.”
The 6-foot, 190-pound Morgan was used in a variety of ways this season. He led Villa Rica with 20 receptions for 362 yards – an average of 18 yards per catch. He also ran the ball 55 times for 371 yards and was a weapon on kickoff returns. He returned three for touchdowns and averaged 34 yards a return.
“I made a lot of big plays for my team,” he said. “I finished the season with about 1,300 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns.”
