Political left remains intransigent on guns
I am nauseated by the continuous censorious statements flowing from the liberal left. Most of their statements are demonstrative of simplistic and shallow thinking. In the wake of the recent tragic event at a Florida school, once again the NRA has become the left’s favorite target.
Many things went very wrong leading up to this murderous rampage, but the NRA had nothing to do with it. Both federal and local law enforcement failed to do what was necessary to protect those kids. The failure of law enforcement in this incident underlines the necessity of individuals being able to defend themselves and those under their care.
I am an NRA member, and I know a number of others who are also. They are all law-abiding citizens who understand the importance of protecting our constitutional rights.
I refuse to stand by and allow the slurs of the left to go unanswered. If we work together and focus on the real problems in our society, we can make great strides towards preventing these kinds of tragedies. I fear, however, the intransigent political left is unwilling.
