Is the Bible more violent than the Quran?
Turns out that, if you do a computer analysis on the text in each, searching for how frequently certain words appear, the Bible is more violent, according to a recent study. Even if you separate the Old and New Testaments, they are both more violent than the Quran, according to the study.
Tom H.C. Anderson, CEO of OdinText, a data-mining technology company in Stamford, Conn., used its software to compare the Old and New Testaments and the Quran to see if it could determine, among other things, if one of the books was more violent than the others.
He ran the test, which took less than two minutes, in January and published the result in three parts on the company’s website.
