Pinnacle Bank opens East Brainerd office

Pinnacle Bank opened its second office in Chattanooga today – a new branch in East Brainerd at 6180 Shallowford Road.

The office is the first for Pinnacle outside of downtown and is part of the strategy by Pinnacle -already Chattanooga’s fourth biggest bank in deposit size – to continue to grow its market share in Chattanooga.

“The East Brainerd community is where we live and work, and we are proud to call it home,” said Larry Vinyard, Pinnacle’s Shallowford Road office leader. “It has a strong corporate presence with companies like Amazon and Volkswagen nearby, a booming local business district and thriving neighborhoods.”

Nashville-based Pinnacle Financial Corp. is the second biggest banking firm in Tennessee and it entered the Chattanooga market two years ago by buying the former CapitalMark Bank. Pinnacle leaders say they plan to open about one new office a year in the Chattanooga area to help grow its presence in the market.

To mark the opening of its East Brainerd office, Pinnacle leaders presented a check for $3,000 to STEP UP Chattanooga, a program that pairs high school students from Hamilton County Public Schools with local businesses for summer internships. This investment will sponsor two student interns for next summer.

Pinnacle is also a supporter of Habitat for Humanity.

“With our position in the community, we have a responsibility to invest in its growth and help where we can so that all our neighbors prosper,” said Craig Holley, Pinnacle’s Chattanooga chairman.. “Few things do that better than affordable housing and education.”
