The National Weather Service in Morristown, Tenn., has issued a flood warning for the South Chickamauga Creek from Monday evening to Tuesday afternoon. Minor flooding is forecast.
The creek is forecast to rise above flood stage around 6 p.m. Monday and crest near 18.5 feet around 2 a.m. Tuesday. The creek should fall below flood stage late Tuesday morning. At 19.0 feet, water across Mack Smith Road begins to impede traffic.
