The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s basketball team was picked to finish third in the Southern Conference this season by both the league’s coaches and media, the SoCon announced Tuesday.
The Lady Mocs, winners of 11 straight regular-season titles, received two first-place votes from the coaches and three from the media, but their vote total trailed preseason favorite Samford and Appalachian State.
Sophomore guard Kayla Christopher was selected for the coaches’ preseason all-conference team.
