Another season of “The Voice,” another Lee University student turns the judges’ chairs.

Jared Herzog, of Niceville, Fla., a 21-year-old Lee University student, got three of the four judges to turn their chairs for his rendition of “Speechless” by Dan + Shay.

In his backstory Herzog said he auditioned for the show at the encouragement of his girlfriend, who is a Blake Shelton fan.

Judges Shelton, Gwen Stefani and John Legend competed for the singer to choose their team. Herzog ultimately chose Legend.
