We’re lucky here in Ooltewah to be home to Miller Industries, the largest manufacturer of towing and recovery vehicles in the world. I was talking to Tom Griffin the other day, who works in the international sales force at Miller Industries. He told me about doing business in Afghanistan, where his company has a contract with the U.S. military to provide wreckers in that war-torn country.
“We stay at a hotel in Kabul where I’m pretty sure they pay the Taliban so they’re not bothered,” he said. “You don’t leave the compound much and you stay away from military-looking vehicles.”
We’re glad you make it back from that sales call, Tom. And we’re also glad you made the sale.
