Cleveland: Man suspected in sheriff’s office, high school break-ins arrested

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – A suspect has been arrested in connection with late-night thefts from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Impound Lot and Walker Valley High School.

A Chevrolet van, utility trailer and ATV were taken from the sheriff’s office garage. A string trimmer and other property were missing from the school, Walker Valley officials said.

The stolen property was found in Sequatchie County within hours, Bradley County sheriff’s public information officer Bob Gault said.

Jeremy Nathan Stinnett, 38, of Cleveland, was arrested Friday afternoon, the sheriff’s office said.

Stinnett also was linked to the Aug. 16 burglary of two vehicles from the Bradley County Road Department. A laptop, two chainsaws and a long-arm saw were removed from the vehicles, Gault said.

He was charged with two counts of auto burglary and two counts of vandalism, Gault said.
