Since the former El Sol Restaurant moved a few doors down Hixson Pike and rebranded itself as Fiesta Mexicana, it has gained a strong following in the area for authentic cuisine made from quality ingredients and set itself apart with a lively atmosphere and attentive service.
While Fiesta offers an extensive menu of reasonably priced Mexican favorites, it also trusts its customers to branch out to more creative dishes. And when they do, as I did, they aren’t disappointed.
THE SPACE
The building that houses Fiesta is tucked into a corner near Hixson Pike and Access Road and has been home to several restaurants. The new owners have made the space their own with vibrant primary colors and south-of-the-border decorations. The main dining area is open and airy with enough space to accommodate large crowds.
