Recent Baylor School graduate Chloe Brackett recently signed to continue her soccer career at Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C.

Brackett, a two-time all-state selection, totaled 11 goals and six assists for the two-time Division II-AA state champions, who went 53-2-3 for her last three seasons and were No. 3 in the final fall ESPN poll. She had committed last year to Pittsburgh, but an in-season visit ultimately led her to change her mind.

“I took an unofficial visit [to Pitt] and it was great,” she said. “I then went on my official visit during the season, and there was just a lot of team drama. I was OK with it at first, because that happens, so I brushed it off.

“Other things started happening, though, and my mom and I just questioned whether or not going to Pittsburgh was meant to be.”

Head coach Sue-Moy Chin later resigned, and Brackett became nervous after seeing the Lady Panthers struggle against Big East competition. Pitt was scheduled to move to the Atlantic Coast Conference starting in 2013, and those things along with the 600-mile distance from home led her to decommit.
