Tiger Woods spent a day recently in Thompson’s Station, where he is considering designing a golf course on 1,229 acres as part of a project by Dallas-based Beacon Land Development.

Woods liked what he saw on March 4, Beacon president Mike Abbott said, and remains open to working on the project that is part of a $150 million mixed-use golf community called Two Farms at Thompson’s Station.

“Tiger fell in love with the property,” Abbott said. “Tiger believes that golf is going to transition into being played more on the ground. So the way this property just naturally rolls and the way it kind of moves up and down in a real natural way and how it has low groves of trees and how it creates some of the canopy and the corridors, he was surprised with what he saw. It was a great day and a great visit.”
