ADEL, Ga. – A two-run home run by Jordan Poole in the first inning and a three-run homer by Carter Harrison in the top of the sixth paced Calhoun High School to an 8-2 win over host Cook High this evening in the Georgia Class AA baseball championship game. There was a rain delay before the bottom of the sixth inning, with the Yellow Jackets (35-1) up 7-2 behind pitcher Landon Curtis. Calhoun won the Class A state title in 2000 and a previous AA championship in 2005.
