Yonkers Honda recently surveyed 3,000 drivers about their reactions to yellow lights. The survey found that almost half (49.04%) of drivers speed up when the light turns yellow, but that percentage changes depending on a person’s age and gender. For example, men are more likely to speed up than women; and 52.92% of those between the ages of 20-30 say they speed up, while 68.52% of those over the age of 50 say they slow down.
