The Rev. Jeremiah Wright In his nearly half-century in the ministry, politics and the struggle for civil rights, the Rev. Paul McDaniel was known for a soft-spoken, voice-of-reason manner that enabled him to work with everybody.
His style is night-and-day different from that of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
Wright is the controversial Chicago pastor perhaps best known as President Barack Obama’s long-time minister. But he’s also known for comments like calling on God to damn America and for saying that America caused the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the U.S. by bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II.
Yet McDaniel compares Wright to the prophets of the Bible.
