DUNLAP, Tenn. – Scouts for Tractor Supply Co. who have been searching for new locations around the South have pinpointed a store to open in Dunlap this fall.
The Brentwood, Tenn.-based retailer will build a 17,000-square-foot store in the old Bi-Lo shopping center on state Highway 28, according to Gary Waller, who is developing the site.
The $2.2 million development is expected to open by Thanksgiving. Bill Ridenour, who works with Waller, said Tractor Supply employees hired for the new store should begin training and inventory stocking in October.
The plans will include a fenced-in area on the north side of the building and the use of the lawn in front of the store to show off pieces of equipment, said Ridenour.
The supply company will offer more than just tractors to the area.
