Chattanooga police are investigating whether a pedestrian was hit by a train near Hamill Road.
A southbound Norfolk Southern train may have hit a person, but investigators have not yet found a body, said Office Rebecca Royval, a spokeswoman for the Chattanooga Police Department.
They did find a hat and blood splatters, she said. If the person was hit, he would have been “grazed,” Officer Royval said.
A K-9 unit is helping with the search.
