Welcoming 17 teams, the Walker County Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament held at the LaFayette Golf Course should raise approximately $8,500, according to the Chamber’s Director of Programs and Events Glenda Jones.
“This keeps membership dues low for the members,” said Chamber President Lacey Wilson. “We are fortunate to have this golf course for our community to use for tournaments like this.”
A total of 17 tee sponsors pitched in to make the event possible. The hole-in-one prize was a Chevrolet Malibu from Jackson Chevrolet.
