Put down the fast food, take a walk
Readers occasionally need a reminder about how important it is to keep a balanced diet and increase their physical activity. While many of us sit back and eat our fast food burgers, fries and enjoy a large drink to go along with them, we do not think about the many calories and fatty substances entering our bodies.
However, there are still many Americans keeping their health a priority by exercising daily and eating right.
The problem with obesity is not made up. The more we pick up fast food for dinner, watch Netflix from 4 p.m to 1 a.m. and take naps instead of going on a walk because we did not get enough sleep the night before, the more our health slowly decreases. Anyone who is above a normal range on the BMI scale is more susceptible to heart disease, cancer and diabetes.
Obesity can cause many health complications. If that does not encourage someone to take steps to becoming more healthy, then what does?
