Donor finds purpose, friendship, community at Blood Assurance

I recently donated a single unit of platelets and a single unit of plasma at Blood Assurance. I saw many staff members whom I now consider to be friends. I also spoke with a person I’ve known since the 1960s who had just donated plasma.

I hope that readers will be motivated to render blood product even if they do so only because both donors and staff are very nice people who appreciate the donations they share.

The sense of community between staff and donors seems very real and vital.

The need for whole blood is continuous as is the need for platelets, plasma, red blood cells and other forms of support such as volunteering.
