Hot off a nomination at the 60th Grammy Awards for his debut album, “Shine on Rainy Day,” Brent Cobb brings his “Ain’t A Road Too Long” tour to Songbirds lower-level stage (formerly Revelry Room), 41 Station St., Thursday, March 1, at 9 p.m.
Cobb was nominated in the Best Americana Album category at the Grammy Awards, ultimately losing to Jason Isbell. Since its release, the album has garnered overwhelming acclaim leading to a Americana Honors & Awards nomination for “Emerging Artist of the Year” as well as Cobb’s television debut on “Conan.”
The current tour takes its name from Cobb’s new single, “Ain’t A Road Too Long,” which was produced by Dave Cobb. He got his start as a songwriter whose music was cut by Luke Bryan, Oak Ridge Boys, Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert. Last year he toured with Chris Stapleton.
Tickets are $15; must be 18 or older with valid ID to attend.
