A giant pecan has been stolen. A minister is on the make. Aliens may have landed. A prom queen is on the verge of a breakdown. The beauty parlor is humming with gossip. And a shotgun wedding is in the works.
It’s just an average day in 1980s small-town Texas, the setting for Dalton Little Theatre’s latest production, “Home of the Great Pecan.”
Written by Stephen Bittrich, the PG-rated, two-act comedy runs the first three weekends of February.
“This show is for anyone who has lived in a small town or who remembers the 1980s,” says director Melissa Adams. “Come see why the citizens of Seguin, Texas, are known for putting the ‘fun in dysfunctional.'”
Kim Parrish is the show’s assistant director, and Aaron Adams is the light and sound technician.
Tickets will be sold in advance and at the door.
