Home Depot plans to hire 60 people in Chattanooga as the home improvement retailer readies for its busiest selling season in the spring.

The hirings are part of 80,000 people the Atlanta-based retailer plans to bring on nationwide, the company said Tuesday in a statement. Jobs will range from sales and cashiers to operations and online order fulfillment. Opportunities will include both permanent part-time and seasonal positions in the company’s stores and distribution facilities. College students, retirees and veterans are encouraged to apply, the retailer said.
