Eggceptional eggzibit eggzits

With more than 1,000 visitors flocking in since the exhibit opened March 29, “Eggstravaganza,” the National Egg Art Show, would seem to be all it’s cracked up to be. The exhibit at the Harris Arts Center, 212 S. Wall St., in Calhoun, Ga., offers the largest assortment of privately owned Faberge-style egg art in the United States. The 100 pieces in the exhibit also feature Pysanky, filigree and carved designs, using eggshells from ostriches, rheas, ducks, geese and chickens. Final chance to see the show will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today and Saturday. For more information, call 706-629-2599 or visit www.cgarts.org
