Riverbend attendees were told to evacuate and seek shelter as storm clouds rolled in to Chattanooga during the festival.
Riverbend officials say the storm earlier in the evening soaked every stage except the Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union Stage.
All side stages stopped music for the evening except the TVFCU stage.
Gates reopened shortly before 9 p.m. and the headlining show, Brett Eldredge, resumed at approximately 10 p.m. on the main stage.
During the storm, the music stopped, and Friends of the Festival advised attendees to walk, not run, to their vehicles to seek shelter.
Hamilton, Marion and Sequatchie Counties were all under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 8:15 p.m. Southern Hamilton County, Southwestern Polk County and Bradley County were under a Significant Weather Advisory until 9 p.m.
Gates are re opening at 9pm. The show will go on at 9:45 on the Coke stage! If we get lightening it will be reassessed!
