A textathon campaign will launch during Ronald McDonald House Charities’ annual phonathon, which is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday then Feb. 16 and 18.
The textathon campaign will encourage cell phone users to donate $10 to Ronald McDonald House Charities by texting the word “SHARE” to 85944 and reply “Yes” to confirm the donation. A $10 charge will appear in the donor’s phone bill and a 50-cent fee is deducted from each donation.
The phonathon is part of an annual Share a Night Campaign for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Share a Night is an opportunity for the community to help sponsor a family’s stay for one night ($55) at the Ronald McDonald House.
The phonathon goal is $100,000, which will support families of critically ill children who are guests of the house and the Family Room inside T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital.
