A Hamilton County grand jury indicted a Hixson man on a felony murder charge in connection to the death of a child in Soddy-Daisy.
Benjamin Brown, 27, is accused of inflicting mortal injuries on the child on Aug. 9, according to court records. The child died on Aug. 21.
He was taken to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with felony murder and aggravated child abuse. His bond was set at $150,000.
Brown has an arrest record in Hamilton County dating back to 2013, according to online court records. His charges range from driving violations to theft and, most recently, a 2017 violation of an order of protection.
