The subject of eight arrest warrants, Dewey Leon Turner is the featured suspect in this weekend’s Crime Stoppers edition.
Chattanooga police said Turner is believed to be the person who has been using stolen checks for felony amounts in Hixson, Brainerd and downtown Chattanooga.
The checks are stolen during auto burglaries, and Turner also is suspected in additional auto burglaries across Chattanooga, according to police spokeswoman Rebecca Royval.
Turner has outstanding warrants for vandalism over $100, vandalism over $500, two counts of forgery, two counts of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card, burglary of an auto and theft under $500, Royval said in a news release.
Hamilton County court records show dozens of similar charges in the last decade.
His last known address is 126 Colony Circle in Fort Oglethorpe, but he’s said to be staying with someone near Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga.
Turner was last seen driving a tan or silver four-door Dodge Ram pickup truck. He is 6 feet tall, 225 pounds with blue eyes and sandy brown hair, police said.
Anyone with information on Turner’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 698-3333. A confidential call could result in a cash reward of up to $1,000.
