Kennesaw State report

The Owls put a lot of their workload on Brown and Ray. The Mocs are very familiar with Brown, as he scored 32 points in an eight-point win over them last season. Ray is equally explosive, with a dunk over a 6-foot-10 Louisville defender Wednesday, while Williams is fourth on the team in scoring and leads the Owls in rebounding while playing about 25 minutes a game.

Key matchup

Brown was a thorn in the Mocs’ side last season, with 18 of his 32 attempts coming from the free-throw line. UTC did a good job of shuffling different defenders onto Tennessee Tech guard Torrance Rowe in Tuesday’s win, and it will be interesting to see if they employ a similar approach against the 5-9 Brown, while also paying careful attention to Ray.
