Window shopping

The other day I almost got into a car accident.

I’m not a bad driver. And I wasn’t applying make-up while driving or changing the song on my iPod.

My eyes were on a shirtless runner on Barton Avenue.

And just as I hit the brakes, it hit me that men and women aren’t that different after all when it comes to what I call “window shopping.”

Whether we admit it to ourselves or not – and we certainly would never admit it to our significant others – we’re all window shoppers. We’re all checking out and appreciating the human beauty around us and jogging the streets of our fair city.
