Nearly five years after entering the Chattanooga market, the local franchisee for the Zaxby’s chicken chain is preparing to open its ninth restaurant in the Chattanooga area.
The new double drive-through Zaxby’s at 3105 Cummings Highway next to the John A. Patten Recreation Center will open its drive-through window service on Monday. The 2,904-square-foot farmhouse-style restaurant will open its 75-seat indoor patio at a later date, according to franchise owner Drew Gressett.
“Our team is beyond excited to open our newest Zaxby’s here in Chattanooga,” Gressett, the owner of the 1788 Chicken LLC franchise, said in an announcement of his newest eatery. “This location is exciting as it’s the gateway in and out of Chattanooga to the west. It’s either your last stop leaving the city or the first as you enter.”
An alternative to fast food, Zaxby’s serves fresh, prepared-at-order, hand-breaded Chicken Fingerz & Wings tossed in a variety of nine sauces. The menu will feature the newly introduced Buffalo Garlic Blaze sauce complementing the long-time favorite Boneless Wings Meal, along with Zaxby’s Signature Sandwich and fresh Zalads. The chain operates more than 600 locations across the Southeast.
Ahead of Monday’s opening, Zaxby’s is distributing 5,000 postcards to the local community which will include coupons for free items. Additionally, the first 250 customers will receive Chicken Scratcher cards that include multiple promotional offers from free cookies to a free Signature Sandwich.
