MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Moore County never had trouble with Arts & Sciences’ pressure, methodically pulling away for a 41-30 victory in the semifinals of the Class A girls’ state basketball tournament at Middle Tennessee State University.
The Lady Raiders will now play Jackson County in Saturday’s state championship.
Only once in the game did CSAS score consecutive baskets and only once did a turnover result in points. Without its typical transition baskets off turnovers, CSAS struggled to score, making just six field goals through three quarters. The Lady Patriots’ only points in the third came on two free throws.
Moore County, which started just one senior, never trailed.
