The Chattanooga Chapter of the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association will host its second annual Ales for Trails from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Outdoor Chattanooga, 200 River St., in Coolidge Park.
The event will raise funds to begin expansion on the existing 20-mile single-track trail system surrounding the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Raccoon Mountain Pump Storage Facility. SORBA-Chattanooga plans to construct two additional multi-use single-track trails totaling about nine miles in length.
Ales for Trails guests will be treated to beer tastings courtesy of Riverside Beverage Co., grilled chicken wings by Doug Keller and sides from Earth Fare Grocery.
Lynskey Performance Cycles is providing a Pro29 titanium frame valued at $2,495 that will be awarded in a drawing, and door prizes from supporters such as The North Face and River City Bikes will be awarded.
Ales for Trails tickets are $30 each in advance, $40 at the door. They may be purchased at local bicycle shops or online at www.SORBA Chattanooga.org.
