19-year-old Charles L Melton was arrested the night of the shooting on charges of first degree attempted murder, along with other charges, after allegedly shooting another teenager in a drive by shooting at the 1000 block of N. Hickory St.
The victim, a 17-year-old minor who will not be identified by the Times Free Press, was arrested last night after he recovered from his gunshot wound and released from the hospital. He was arrested for several outstanding warrants with charges of attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment felony and possession of a firearm during commission.
