A pair for Perry

Phil Mickelson was not the only player in the Masters with two eagles on the back nine Saturday. Kenny Perry eagled Nos. 13 and 15, including holing out from a greenside bunker on the 15th.

The Masters awards two six-crystal goblets to a player for making an eagle, and Perry has a set of six already this week.

“I told my son, ‘If I make this I’m going to give you the crystal,'” Perry said about his exchange before draining a 30-foot putt on the 13th. “Pretty neat deal.

“He was more excited about (the eagle) than I was.”

After losing in a playoff here last year, Perry has struggled so far this season with his swing and an elbow injury that has robbed him of some of his distance. But physical limitations and emotional scars aside, Perry has been troubled by the loss of a close personal friend that was a big part of his game.
