Hot on the heels of a survey showing overwhelming opposition to ObamaCare socialized medicine down in Georgia, a survey shows similar dislike of Obama-Care in Tennessee.
Mason-Dixon Research & Polling asked 625 registered voters in Tennessee for their views on the law, whose official name is the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.”
It would seem from the results that Tennesseans think ObamaCare neither “protects patients” nor is “affordable.” Only 30 percent of respondents said they back ObamaCare. Fifty-seven percent said they oppose it. That’s a 27-point spread!
While most Democrats supported the law – which was approved by a Democrat Congress and signed by a Democratic president – 92 percent of Republicans opposed it.
Even more important, almost 60 percent of independents opposed Obama-Care, while only 25 percent supported it. Barack Obama enjoyed support from many independents in the 2008 election, but his spending spree seems to be costing him the backing of some of them.
These latest figures on opposition to ObamaCare are nothing new. It has been four months or so since ObamaCare was approved, yet it continues to have little public support in poll after poll.
That lack of support may show up in the most important “poll” – when voters cast ballots in August and November.
