Letters to the Editors: God, citizens must defend America and more letters

God, citizens must defend America

Clinton’s administration advocated the reinventing of government. Then came 9/11, and overnight American patriotism was reinvented. Bush’s administration repackaged our 1776 patriotism into this 9/11 heroism that worships everything that falls under federal jurisdiction. Now, many realize their nation is dying because loyal citizens are purposely excluded from protecting freedom’s inheritance. Today’s administration considers armed Americans domestic threats who must be under surveillance from the first utterance of “Constitution” or “patriot.” “We the People” are finding liberty is now prohibited and in violation of federal, state and local laws.

America is systematically disarmed at the only two foundations solid enough to defend its freedom – God almighty and the citizen. Defending this nation requires more than benefit entitlements that give First Amendment laryngitis to the voices of those who equate money with compliance. Global 9/11 and sovereign 1776 have absolutely no commonality.

To imply only government can keep you safe is a fabricated falsehood guaranteed to erode what last grains of liberty we have left. Your right to continue enjoying the freedoms our forefathers provided is insured by God, who conceived America, and the Second Amendment insures citizens can defend America. That’s your responsibility.

Keep government, church separate

Should the church be able to interact with the government? Or should church and government be two separate spheres? Sphere sovereignty is the concept of having different spheres for institutions such as church, government, family, etc., and that each sphere keeps to itself and only has power over itself.

Many think this concept is not always practiced today. I think in some ways the government and church interfere with each other. For example, as Christians we have the Ten Commandments as our main set of laws, and sometimes we get upset when Christian rules, such as the Ten Commandments, aren’t practiced in the government. Not everybody is a Christian, and that’s something that every Christian must learn to deal with.

Then there are issues where it doesn’t seem like a good idea at all. An example would be the government interfering with religion, specifically the church, too much. The First Amendment gives us the freedom of religion, which means we can practice any religion we want or none at all. The government has no control over that.

But having separate spheres is a good idea because not everything should be interwoven.

Time to stand up for U.S. freedom

I am searching for the words to express my feelings as to what is happening in the world we live.

First, it is not the same as the 1960s, ’70s or ’80s. We live in a different world. We must accept it. We can not deny it.

Our enemy(ies) have declared war on a sovereign nation! Do we do nothing? Which is basically what we have been doing.

War is very trying and very difficult. Lives would be lost; innocents, including children, will be killed. Sadly, that is what happens during wartime.

However, it is past the time when we need our beloved nation to step to the plate and take affirmative action! We need to consolidate our resources and put together a military plan to defeat ISIS! Air strikes alone can not complete the mission. As any veteran military officer knows, once a target is knocked out, boots on the ground need to go in and secure that ground, so that the enemy cannot come back!

I pray, stand up America! Stand up for our freedom! There is a price for our freedom. Are we willing to pay that price? No matter what the cost?
