Reader laments loss of paper newspaper
This is only the second time I have complained in the newspaper. The first time was when Chattanooga leaders closed Kirkman Technical High School, the best school in the area.
I have been taking the newspaper since the 1960s. My parents took it before that. I have pictures from my grammar and high school years. I clip articles and send them to friends who have moved away, especially the obituaries.
You are bringing this chapter of my life to a close. The pandemic has stolen a lot of things from our lives, but the newspaper did not need to be replaced with a digital replica.
What are people going to do who cannot afford the internet? I think this decision was made in haste.
