An Ooltewah trucking company building caught fire Thursday night, according to a news release from Hamilton County Emergency Services.
Last night about 9 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting a fire at a small office building at Alvey Transport at 4521 Woodland Drive.
The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene reporting a small office building on fire. The first engine was able to control the fire, but overhead electrical lines started arcing and had to discontinue the fire attack.
About an hour later, a fuse blew on a light pole and the crews were able to finish the extinguishment. EPB arrived a few minutes later and secured the electrical service.
Damages to the building and two automobiles are undetermined at this time. Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries but none were reported.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
