Couple grateful for Barbara Bush’s help
Our daughter, Janet Hicks Joujan Milanesi, broke her back in 1988 when she and her husband, both missionary teachers in Africa, were hit by a dump truck as they were traveling to a boarding school to get their daughter.
Her husband died in the crash, and she needed better treatment for her injuries. The mission board office needed permission for an ambulance to meet the Zambian airplane at Kennedy Airport to get her to an Olan Mills plane that was sent to pick her up and bring her to Chattanooga.
I called the office of the president. I had to call back, and the woman who answered indentified herself as Barbara Bush. She told me she would see what she could do. Within 10 minutes I received a call from the head of the FAA, who asked what help we needed. All that was arranged.
I had sent a note of thanks to Mrs. Bush, and I want her family and all who read this to know how much she interceded and gave help
Thank you.

Keep Kyle Hedrick on Circuit Court
Everyone’s looking for that seemingly indefinable “something” in a candidate that sets them apart from the pack.
Kyle Hedrick has presence. He’s confident. His self-possession ensures me I am comfortable placing him in front of our community and on the bench to instill the law and not make the law.
Kyle Hedrick has enthusiasm. His balance of energy and experience guarantees your desire to take him seriously.
Kyle Hedrick has strong ethics. He is committed to doing the right thing even when no one is looking. He is a giver and has a heart for making things happen, irrespective of the returned appreciation.
Kyle Hedrick is innovative in making all those present in the courtroom feel comfortable and respected. He can actively solicit the opinion of others and is quick to praise others for their contributions. He will generate information that educates and energizes the public.
Kyle Hedrick is consistent. He deserves admiration for being accountable for his decisions and results. He deserves admiration for having already been and is a public servant.
Join me in electing Kyle E. Hedrick as Circuit Court judge of Hamilton County.

Cate White is the right choice for judge
It is my pleasure to recommend Catherine “Cate” White for Circuit Court judge. She is highly qualified for the position as she has practiced family law in this community for 29 years, and has sat on the bench as a special judge on multiple occasions. This experience is essential to the candidate for this position.
I have known Ms. White for over 20 years as a reputable attorney and friend. Her work in the community is notable, and she is recognized by the legal community and the pubic as a person of integrity and commitment to high standards in her practice.
Because of her background, she is compassionate and thoughtful about how decisions in the courts can affect families and community. Her extensive knowledge, expertise and diverse experience enable her to hear and analyze cases, make sound judgments and render fair decisions.
Ms. White has demonstrated her leadership capabilities in many activities in Chattanooga and Hamilton County. She is a valuable asset to our community and will continue to serve us well on the bench. I encourage voters to consider her outstanding service as they vote for the person who will preside in our Circuit Court.
